I have posted on the UPA.org site to get a pickup game of ultimate going on the weekends, preferably saturdays, and early to beat the heat.

I have a handful of guys who are in, but we still don't have enough for a real game (i.e. 7 on 7, rather than 3 on 3).

If you'd like to come out and get a little exercise, we aren't real gung ho about it, I am not even really sure of everyone's skill level as of yet because we haven't yet played a full game. I know for myself, I can't run full speed(if at all...) but I can play back, and I can throw well.

So anyway, if you want to come out, get a little fresh air, maybe do some light running, we will be out there saturday morning. Come join us and huck!

The team is made up of young professionals (ages 25-37) who work in politics, media, education, social work, and real estate development. We have a coach, a manager, and snazzy team shirts, too.

Learn to Row is an annual 3-week program offered by River City Rowing Club (RCRC) to introduce the fundamentals of rowing. Each session consists of nine "on the water" classes in which new rowers are fully engaged in learning the technique and execution of the rowing stroke, as well as rowing commands, boat handling and the intricacies of crew dynamics. I live in Davis and am looking to form a small-scale running group of serious (but not too serious) runners for bi-weekly interval workouts and a long Saturday run (10-20 miles depending). I'm currently out-of-shape but am aiming to regain form. About me: I'm a 42(male)-year-old UCD prof. and am looking to run low 17s for 5k, 1:20 (or so for half) and sub 3 for marathon. (I've done the first two in recent years, but have never run a marathon but will run the CIM this December). I'm tired of the local hammerhead running groups and am looking to find a group of runners with a sense of humor, who can put running in perspective, BUT, who are also serious about training and performance. Ideally, I'd like to run intervals on T-Th in the early AM. If you are interested, please respond to this note. I don't care about age or ability; just have a good sense of humor.

Do you want to become a personal trainer, but don�t have the money for the study materials?? Well, look no further, I may have a solution for you!

I recently got out of the military and received a job as a personal trainer. Since I am only certified through the company I work for, I one�don�t get many clients, two�don�t get paid that much and three, can�t work anywhere else! I was given the job with the requirement that I get my outside certification ASAP!

I�m not the best studier, so I am trying to set up a study group. I have already purchased all the materials for the NSCA-CPT exam. The written exam is scheduled to be in Sacramento in November. You can always take it earlier at one of the computer places they authorize, but it costs a lot more! I will only be charging a portion of what the materials cost me. I will NOT be profiting of this, I am just looking for study partners to help split the costs with me. Again, I already have the materials and will NOT be making a profit!!
