Call for Entry
Children’s book illustrators, emerging or established, for the Sun Gallery’s 20th Annual Children’s Book Illustrator Exhibit. This will be a juried exhibition.
Exhibit dates: Jan. 21 to April 17, 2009
Deadline to submit entry: Oct. 25, 2008
Send one copy of your book with an entry fee of $30, check payable to the Sun Gallery. You may enter more than one book. All books after the first will be a $20 fee per entry. If you are chosen for the exhibit, you may show original artwork or high quality prints. Art work needs to be framed or have acrylic covers and be ready to hang. Judging will be done by a committee from the Board of Directors. The accepted artists will be notified by November 8, 2008.
A book signing reception will be planned with the winning entrants.
The Gallery has a gift shop and can help you sell your books on consignment. The Children’s Book Illustrator Exhibit is a very popular show with local schools. The Gallery has already started booking classroom field trips from many parts of the East Bay for this show.
