NEEDED: info on over-night accomidations for (West Coast)

Hello..I'm going to be traveling (the hard way) along the west coast, probably north...(I've always wanted to see Alaska) It's warming up enough that my biggest concern is where to go to rest and be able to clean up along the way...Please email me if you know of an organization or private party that can put someone up for a night.. can work to pay for it, or pay a small fee.
