Specializing in caring, competent, therapeutic work with adult individuals and couples.
Providing individual therapy for adults. I also work with couples offering premarital counseling, couples counseling, communication skills training and divorce or post-relationship counseling. I also do a fair amount of parenting work directly with parents; I do not schedule appointments with children or adolescents. Available to visit with you in your home or office or in a neutral location if desired.
The more common issues addressed in the therapy may include depression; feelings of overwhelm, anxiety, confusion, stress, grief, anger, self-doubt; relationship problems such as parenting struggles, communication difficulties, couple issues; problems related to physical, emotional, sexual problems or abuse; and substance use or abuse. In addition to these named, there are many more issues that a client can choose to focus the work on and as treatment is individualized, there are no "off-limits" topics. Further, I pride myself on the value I place on diversity and my practice reflects this in sensitivity to racial, cultural, and/or gender-related issues.
I offer reasonable initial consultation/evaluation fee and will work with you on payments for ongoing work.
