      Qualifications:
      • High school diploma or equivalent.

      • Competency in biology, physics, environmental science, a plus.
      • Must have a true passion for education and specifically science education. Will be PASCO’s contact with the chemistry education community.
      • Solid understanding of the education market from a business, political and social perspective, and from a teaching and learning perspective.

      PRIMARY FUNCTION:
      To implement and coordinate sports opportunities for Woodland High School students participating in the ASSETs after-school program. The Intramural Sports Coordinator will organize, direct and supervise and evaluate all aspects of the intramural program.       The Intramural Sports Coordinator will:
      1) Provide significant and high-quality opportunities in a variety of indoor and outdoor intramural activities to satisfy the diverse needs of students. This may include team and individual sports, dual sports activities, tournaments, leagues and fitness challenges for students.
      2) Coordinate and supervise all intramural programs.
      3) Perform required duties as the building supervisor, including closing.
      4) Promote intramural program through ASSETs program.
      5) Cooperate with student activities to maximize the use of campus facilities.
      6) Maintain records relative to participation and equipment inventory.
      7) Assist with campus clubs and organizations, student activities and other student services in the ASSETs program.
      8) Attend and supervise intramural events. Referee when necessary.
      9) Ensure proper maintenance, cleaning, storage, and inventory of all sports supplies and equipment.
      10) Identify and meet program equipment and supply needs.
      11) Assist in the development and implementation of risk management policies and procedures.
      12) Work in cooperation with ASSETs staff to distribute snacks to ASSETs participants.
      13) Complete weekly and monthly attendance reports.
      14) Perform other duties as assigned.
      
      JOB REQUIREMENTS:
      The position is part-time, 15 hours/week, Monday to Friday, and requires that the incumbent be able to work in the afternoon and evenings. The Intramural Sports Coordinator will be required to pass a TB test and background check and/or drug test. He/she will be required to have training in CPR, first aid and blood-borne pathogens. If candidate does not already possess these certifications, access to the training(s) will be provided by the Woodland Joint Unified School District upon being hired.
      
      KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
      • Knowledge of programming and administering intramurals and club sports or similar programs.
      • Written and oral proficiency in English (with proficiency in Spanish as well preferred).
