FOLSOM LAKE OPEN WATER SWIM
OPEN-WATER SWIM OFFERING THREE SEPARATE DISTANCES
An open-water swim event will be offered for all levels of experience at the Folsom Lake Open Water (FLOW) swim, held on Saturday, June 28, 2008, at Beals Point, Folsom Lake State Recreational Area, located at the corner of Oak Hill Drive and Auburn-Folsom Road, Granite Bay.
FLOW participants will have a choice of three course-lengths: 0.6-Mile (an out and back course), 1.2-Mile or 2.4-mile (both courses are triangle courses, one loop or two). FLOW is the perfect event for those who have never swum in the open water to those training for an Ironman distance triathlon—and everyone in between.
Water temperature is expected to be in the mid-to-upper 70s. Wetsuits are allowed, but not needed
The entry fee to any of the three FLOW competitions is $35.00 advance and $40.00 after June 19. Entry fee includes awards, refreshments, a great T-shirt, and entry into an exciting raffle. Awards will be given deep for overall male and female finishers, and masters (40-years+) male and female finishers. Timing and results will be provided by On Your Mark Events www.onyourmarkevents.com.

Capitol Adventure is the creation of two Sacramento-Area outdoor enthusiasts who realized that Northern California, and specifically the Sacramento area, was lacking in outdoor sporting events like long-distance open-water swims, family events and adventure races. The two founders, Dr. Todd Drybread and Felix Poggenmann, put their personal and professional experience together to organize races and events in and around Sacramento to fill this void.
