These ads are a scam of Craigslist's groups section and listed by the Dianetics/Scientology.
These groups are not state certified, their curriculum is not accepted in any court. The group "leaders" have not been cleared through any background check.
Also, These "groups" do charge a fee that they claim not to. They call their fees a "donation". They are a scam that is exploting people in our community and these ads should be flagged.

There are several so called self help types of "groups" offered as classes within the classes category. These are not classes. They are Dianetics/Scientology "groups" that are deceiving people to believe they are classes. The anger management groups they offer are not classes. They are not certified, not approved by any court in California. The "group" facilitator is not an anger management certified instructor, nor have any of them cleared any type of background check. Many of the so-called "groups" and unauthorized classes are Dianetics and Scientology Dianetics/Scientologist do not need to fill up the Craigslist group catagory with numerous listing about the same thing. Dianetics classes do charge a fee. They are not "classes", not certified or accepted in any court. None of the "groups" have cleared any background check , therfore, not safe for you and your family. Dianetics/Scientologist should post the fee that you charge for your group participation so that you do not take advantage of people who need help. One post with the list of what you have to offer is sufficient.

Last year, my wife and I decided to take our son out of gymnastics classes and enroll him in karate. He just wasn�t enjoying gymnastics anymore and we had found a karate program that was convenient to our home and we thought we�d give it a try. We didn�t really know how lucky we were to have found this program. We didn�t know what karate was all about and we had no idea what Shotokan Karate was. We were just looking for an inexpensive activity for our son that he�d enjoy.
HE LOVED IT FROM THE BEGINNING!
I guess boys will be boys. They love to pretend fight and they need an outlet for all their energy. But we were impressed at all of the mental discipline and respect he was learning at the same time (in addition to the physical exercise and improvement in coordination). Our two daughters were continuing in gymnastics and would come with us to watch our son�s class. In no time, they wanted to quit gymnastics and sign up for karate. So that�s what we did. Shortly thereafter, I told my wife that I thought I�d like to give it a try. So we signed me up. A few weeks later my wife signed up. So now all five of us are studying karate as a family and we absolutely love it!

If you�re interested in a great activity that you can do with your whole family, I highly recommend SA Shotokan Karate Academy in Orangevale. You can sign up through the Orangevale Recreation and Park District. It is not expensive. Your first three months are only $60 and that includes your gi (uniform)! After that it is only $50 per month. We were spending $125 a month for gymnastics for each of our children.

If you do decide to give it a try, bring this form with you to your first class and give it to Sensei Adriaan. He likes to know how his new students hear about him.

There are numerous ads with various titles that all lead to call "Tony." These ads are misleading and exploiting disadvantaged people. They are advertisements to sell classes and workshops. These ads are in violation of Craigslist "over posting" as there are several of them each day with different titles within the same categories. The person named "Tony" has been emailed and respectfully requested to discontinue spamming Craigslist and a phone call was made directly to him , however "Tony" continues to inundate Cragslist with misleading ads.

I have been searching for a group of this sort however there is typically a fee associated with it. There are numerous resources for our clients but not for us! I would be especially interested in connecting with those of you who work in higher levels of care such as psychiatric facilities, residential treatment centers, or correctional settings. If you know of such a group or would be interested in getting together once a month or so to decompress, discuss our stressors and share ways of keeping ourselves healthy, please respond! We are a unique population and oftentimes our friends and relatives cannot relate to our special kind of work stress.

Hello,
You are correct to say that the Dianetics/Scientology groups are interested in financial gain. The Dianetics/Scientology ads listed in Craigslist leave out the part where they charge for the classes and help that they offer. I do not have a problem with someone charging a fee, but the Dianetics and Scientology groups are deceiving people with the cost of their so-called help. They use a tactic called "dangling carrot" titles in their ads that identify with individuals whom are suffering emotionally, or mentally. Once they gain the confidence of a person suffering from emotional discomfort, then they begin charging fees. Take a look at the "Groups" section of Craigslist and you will see how the Scientology/ Dianetics groups are spamming the list to get people to call them. Such behavior speaks for itself.
I have personally received confrontational emails from Scientology/ Dianetics representatives telling me to "mind my own business" including other inappropriate statements.
All of this should be a fair waring to anyone who wants to get help from the Scientology/ Dianetics programs and services.

Major Depressive Disorder,
are between the ages of 22-68 years old,
and medication has not improved your symptoms

This study is a multicenter, randomized double blind, sham controlled study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of H-coil deep transcranial magnetic stimulation (dTMS) as a treatment for patients with medication-resistant major depressive disorder. Studies of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS), typically using a figure-8 coil, have shown that stimulating superficial brain regions can be beneficial in treating major depression. Differing from traditional figure-8 coil, the H-coil is designed to stimulate deep brain regions related to motivation, reward, and pleasure. The study population will consist of patients with major depressive disorder who have failed adequate medication treatment or shown significant intolerance to medications. The study duration is 18 weeks with a 2 week period of weaning the patient off medication, followed by 4 weeks of 5 daily treatments and 12 weeks of biweekly treatments. Mood and mental state will be carefully monitored through standard psychological scales and rating during the drug taper-down and throughout treatment.

▐☺ Statistically women are 6 times more likely to be victimized than men. Women have a 1 in 4 chance to be a victim of a crime. The economy is rough. Police have their hands full. More incidents of violence are happening each day. Learn some essential, extremely effective but practical, natural, and realistic self defense and personal safety techniques.

The Holidays are coming up and the top places women are abducted from/attacked are store and office parking lots and public restrooms. Statistically this increases during the holiday season. Don't be caught off guard. Be prepared for any unfortunate circumstance.

Learn to STOP would-be rapists, stalkers, molesters, muggers, annoying punks at bars, purse snatchers, and bullies in their tracks! Learn how to shock an attacker and throw them off guard - without any special strength or knowledge of martial arts and regardless of age, size, shape or experience to attend and learn.

Remember - When you are in a real situation being attacked, your blood pressure goes up; your heart rate goes up; you are in an adrenaline / fear induced state. It becomes harder to think. You ABSOLUTELY want to have your self defense moves be instinctive and simple. Complex martial arts or fighting techniques that take months to years to learn and master will not save you in a situation with a real life attack. Learn the SECRETS to true self defense.

The curriculum is designed to deal with all aspects of the personal self-defense spectrum. Our instruction is a comprehensive course that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance, while moving on to the basics of hand to hand defense training covering long, medium and short range confrontations including defense from the ground as well as defending against weapons. We provide each student with individual realistic situational activities, not just theory and cognitive learning. We make learning self-defense so simple and practical that YOU are in control if anyone confronts you.

Again, our program is about self-defense, not winning a fight. If you are attacked, your goal is to get away as quickly and as safely as possible. Your goal is not to win a fight, but to escape. Of course, in order to escape, you may need to disorient, distract, stun and even disable your attacker. You will learn well how to do that and do it quickly.

We have a full padded instructor for our unique life like simulations and hands on activities. We will have take home material so you can review at home what you learned and all participants will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the workshop.
