As a RN Manager of Clinical Practice, you will:
Have clinical oversight of our patient care including completion of admissions, conducting supervisory visits, coordinating with physicians, developing of care plans, conducting or delegating the assessment and reassessment of patients, including updating care plans and interpreting patient needs.
Participate in the interviewing, selection and orientation of new clinical team members. Manage, coach and mentor clinical associates.
Be responsible for quality, accuracy and timeliness of documentation of field staff
Ensure that the Plan of Care is properly administered
Coordinate communication between team members and attending physicians to ensure the appropriateness of care and outcome planning. Ensure compliance with third party requirements through review of documentation and care coordination activities.
Assist in the inservice training, and evaluation of qualified personnel for all disciplines involved in patient care services.

Qualifications
Associate�s Degree in Nursing
Current RN license
Minimum of 3 years nursing experience preferably in a homecare setting
Minimum of 1 year supervisory/management experience

Sierra Eye and Tissue Donor Services is a non-profit eye and tissue bank dedicated to serving the community by providing human tissue for trnasplantation. Tissue recovery teams travel to hospitals in the Sacramento region as well as Santa Rosa, CA and the Reno NV and northern NV areas. Led by a Tissue Recovery Coordinator, recovery teams perform sterile tissue recoveries in an operating room setting. Newly hiered casual labor assistants recieve on-the-job training in aseptic technique, sergical prep and procedures, and back table operation for orthopedic and cardiovascular recoveries. Part time assistants work on an as-needed basis and set their own hours of availability. Assistants can exercise the option to decline work. Rapid advancement oportunities with learned skill lebels allow part time assistants to prgress up to 20.00/hr.

We currently only have part time per-diem positions available at this time.

Great for students or professionals in any field with an interest in medical science; great hands on experience for surgical technitians, pre-medical or pre-nursing students.

Hours of operation: Sierra eye and Tissue Donor Services is a 24 hr /day, 365 days/ year operation. The nature of the job is unpredictable and the hours reflect that as well. There are no garanteed or pre-scheduled hours in any given work week -- you will work as your assistance is needed. You will be issued a pager, and in turn you will submit a schedule of availabity from which we can call you when cases do come up. Because of the unpredictable nature of this job, we can recieve a case at any time. This means that you may recieve a page for work at 2pm or 2am or any time in between during your schedules hours of availability. When you recive a page, you are expected to call immediately. You will be told the nature of the case you were paged from and then at that point you will be able to accept or decline the case. If you accept a case, you are expected to arrive to the Sacramento location office with in 1 hr of your initial page. Cases can be anywhere from 6 to 16 hours typically. There are some situations that would shorten or extend that time. At the time of page, you will be notified approximately how long the case is expected to be.

An availability of three days or greater per week is highly prefered as it is the most condusive to learning and advancement.

Typical work day: You will recive a page, and upon returning that page you will be notified of the nature of the case. You will then drive to the Sacramento Office location and meet with the rest of the staff. At that time you will clock in a begin your work shift. We will gather all of our supplies and staff for the recovery and drive to the tissue recovery location (sacramento area, northern NV, santra rosa etc). We take company vehicles. When we arrive at the hospital we will review the patients medical record and conduct a physical assesment. The patient is brought to an operating room at that time. We will then shave and prep the areas for recovery (arms, legs, back and torso). The Tissue Recovery Assistant will set up the back table in the operating room and recive the tissue grafts as they are recovered from the patient. At that point you will identify the graft, swab the graft, label it appropriately and then place it on ice for transport back to the office. When the recovery is finished we will clean the operating room and bring the tissue back to the Sacramento locatin for shipment. The tissue will be shipped appropriately and a few back laboratory duties will be performed. At this point you will clock out and end your work shift.

Our patients are post-mortem consented donors. Due to the nature of the job we will be exposed to death and dying on a daily basis. Applicants must be able to deal with this element of the job with professionalism.

Requirements: Background investigation, drug screening, TB test, valid drivers license varified through DMV.

Hourly Rate: $10.00/hr to $20.00/ hr, varied with skill level
