Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. <br>
<br>
• Assist the claims process by performing all administrative duties related to claim files. <br>
• Coordinate with clients of information needed to ensure proper protesting of claims and appeals.<br>
• Document information received from clients by phone and electronically in a manner that will allow the company to provide State Agencies with information required.<br>
• Coordinate next day mailings to ensure the correspondence is completed and the documents are available to be mailed prior to the time deadline.<br>
• Answer client questions regarding administrative process including information requirements and time schedules/requirements.<br>
• Prioritize daily work and correspondence to ensure compliance and department efficiency.<br>
• Immediately notify management of any issues or administrative difficulties encountered.<br>
• Prepare statistical reports summarizing  activity for the department.<br>
• Prepare and follow up on additional documentation for hearings and claims. <br>
• Audit and reporting of database information to management as necessary.<br>
• Have direct contact with the Employment Development Department representatives while documenting all correspondence.<br>
• Maintain and create various spreadsheets and lists on Sharepoint.<br>

Requirements Include:<br>

• One year certificate from college or technical school; and at least two years of experience in Human Resources;<br>
• Unemployment insurance experience is strongly preferred;<br>
• Strong written and verbal communication skills;<br>

I.  Job Summary/Scope - <br>
Partners with HR Manager in creating plans and procedures for all company personnel in some or all of the functional areas: benefits, pay roll, training, employment, workers compensation, and policy administration.  HR Generalist will be expected to provide research, create proposals, deliver presentations, and lead the implementation of HR annual initiatives. Incumbent will provide interpretation of PGP Policy and use independent judgment and discretion to resolve issues arising in these functional areas.<br>
<br>
II.  Essential Duties & Responsibilities -   <br>
May prepare, facilitate/ and or provide training to Employees, Supervisors, and Management, i.e., Diversity Awareness.<br>
Administers the New Hire Orientation Process.  Provides overall design and process improvements to the New Hire Orientation Program including migration to on-line applicant tracking and on-line orientation process.<br>
Assist HR Manager to coordinate events including but not limited to Holiday Party, Group Employee Events, Sales Kick-Off meetings, and other events as they arise.<br>
Coordinates and leads monthly HR communications with HR plant locations and Corporate staff.  Prepares and communicates agenda, plan conference calls, facilitate/host the calls, and provide follow-up documents and communications.<br>
Coordinates the preparation and monitoring of severance agreements.  Ensures employee changes are initiated, approved and implemented via the Employee Data Form. <br>
Assists Corporate HR Manager as necessary with succession planning reporting or tracking.<br>
Provides leadership in the organization, communication, and routine audit process of HR data at all locations in order that HR information is maintained in accordance with internal auditing processes. <br>
Provides overall maintenance and monitoring of employee recognition program.  <br>
Processes new hires and terminations.<br>
Calculates and posts timesheets & Paylocity time, posts employee maintenance-direct deposit, tax changes, raises etc.  Monitor and track short-term disability payments.<br>
Calculates garnishments, child supports and other wage attachments, Requests payment for deductions w/held from paychecks and mail out, and responds to employment verifications from outside agencies.<br>
Reviews payroll registers, and provides support in year end processing.<br>
Ensures tax tables are correct-taxes are calculating correctly in employees’ checks.<br>
Answers employee questions concerning payroll processes, individual checks, as well as end user questions regarding self service and intranet. Strives to ensure employee understanding of benefit programs by counseling employees/dependents as situations arise.  Resolves employee complaints related to health and welfare plans, refers difficult or very complex complaints to broker and manager as needed. <br>
Runs various PTO reports, man hour reports, and head count reports.  Posts and distributes these reports for end users.<br>
Assists with registering employees for self service and processes and approves all employee changes via self service<br>
Communicates with supervisors any questions concerning subordinates pay/hours.<br>
Provides assistance to HR Manager in order to transition routine administrative HR responsibilities: job postings, job description maintenance, interview schedules, offer letters, applicant testing, background checks, drug screening, employees reports, data collection, and employee recognition program.<br>
Provides assistance HR Manager in annual and mid year Performance Management communications, assist in the review and rating process/procedures, and lead the collection /tracking/final reporting of annual reviews.<br>
Provides back up to the HR Manager for Paylocity and self service; HR Intranet site. (including adding and deleting content); resolving open issues with all Paylocity applications. (including opening cases and following through until issues are resolved); Budget Planning Administration by maintaining data in Paylocity, generating routine reports and uploading the information to the SAP platform.<br>
Provides assistance to HR Manager regarding maintenance of and final reporting of the company bonus program. <br>
Completes long-term/short-term projects timely.<br>
May be required to assist or coordinate special projects relating to Benefits, Acquisitions or Divestures, Labor Relations, or general HR as necessary.<br>

Education:<br>
	BBA is a minimum. Bilingual English – Spanish a plus <br>

Related Experience:<br>
                     3-5 years in general Business with a minimum of 4 years professional experience in an HR function.<br>
<br>
Equipment/Software Skills:<br>
	 Micro-Soft Office to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.  Payroll Systems.<br>
<br>
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:<br>
	PHR preferred but not required.<br>

Physical:<br>
Must be physically able to operate computer equipment. Work is primarily sedentary however it is in a fast paced general office environment.  Some stress may occur.
