We are adding a technical trainer to our Training Team which will make possible our work in 16 developing countries by delivering distinctive training tools to our in-country partners.<br>

Position Summary<br>
<br>
The Technical Trainer designs and writes training curriculum focusing on learning conversations, learning games, and learning parties that will be delivered as modules by a diversity of local organizations to chronically hungry poor women and girls to protect and strengthen their financial and health assets.  They will also train trainers in the modules and assist in the development of training systems; report on the progress of training systems, suggest improvements, create tools to enhance replication of the system, experiment with e-learning and distance learning alternatives, and develop and train field agents and managers in institutional practices that will improve their outreach of integrated services.  <br>

Core Duties and Responsibilities<br>

&#9642;Review, summarize, and interpret information that promotes best practices within institutions offering integrated services, business and financial education and health protection.<br>
&#9642;Design and implement market research (PRA and focus group interviews) that assess the needs as well as the existing business and household financial practices of mostly rural illiterate women and their families Asia, Africa, and Latin America.  <br>
&#9642;Analyze market research data to determine challenges to adopting best practices at the individual  and household level <br>
&#9642;Innovate new approaches to education, documented as training modules, to train women in these best practices and establish indicators of knowledge and skill acquisition<br>
&#9642;Design training modules that enable institutions to manage their social performance and improve their internal operations related to integrated services<br>
&#9642;Lead the field testing of training modules and revise based on the results of the field test<br>
&#9642;Deliver trainer of trainer workshops to enable partners and Freedom from Hunger Regional Trainers to implement training modules and provide additional technical support and coaching to improve individual effectiveness<br>
&#9642;Monitor the performance of Freedom from Hunger Regional Trainers by applying training quality control tools and report on progress to the International Centre Training Unit <br>

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Prior Experience<br>

&#9642;Post-graduate degree in international development plus three years, minimum, work experience in  Asia, Africa or Latin America<br>
&#9642;Minimum three years experience with savings and/or credit led methodologies preferably as an employee of an MFI or other community-based organizations offering integrated (financial and non-financial) services <br>
&#9642;Minimum three years experience in designing education modules for low literacy populations in developing countries and ideally in business development and/or financial education for female entrepreneurs<br>
&#9642;Experience in designing and implementing trainer of trainer’s workshop for community based organizations<br>
&#9642;Experience or interest in social franchising as a means of reaching the chronically hungry poor<br>
&#9642;Must be able to speak French and/or Spanish fluently. <br>
&#9642;Ability to effectively and tactfully communicate with a variety of individuals from Freedom from Hunger Regional Trainers,  partner organization professionals to field representatives, including members of the self-help groups and/or credit unions.<br>

Position Summary

The Development Research Analyst will develop from scratch a research function for Freedom from Hunger that generates accurate, informative, and useful insights about prospective and current donors for use in devising effective solicitation and relationship management strategies. The Research Analyst will install best practices at Freedom from Hunger for identifying and accessing public information resources and will devise information tools for use by staff, trustees, and selected other supporters of the organization. Delivery Specialist: We are a drop off disposable food service company. All delivery specialists must have a valid California drivers license, proof of insurance, and a vehicle they are willing to use for delivery. A hearty compensation is paid for mileage. Most of our delivery specialists work from 10-2 Monday through Friday but we do staff the position from 6:30 am - 6:30 pm six days a week.<br>

Phone Host: Jealousy Phone hosts learn our menu inside and out. They learn how to suggest the right combination of foods for the right groups of people and how to quickly help our regular clients. We have three phone stations running Microsoft Windows and Quickbooks software. Experience answering phones, using Windows, and Quickbooks is helpful but not necessary. In addition to answering phones, and taking orders, phone hosts assist with bookkeeping, clerical duties, scheduling deliveries, and prepping supply bags. We have one or more phone hosts on duty Monday Through Friday from 7:00 am to 6:30 pm. Most phone hosts are part time.<br>

Food Prep: We sell thousands of salads, sandwiches, breakfasts, and hot food dishes seven days a week. The food prep team makes all our dressings, roast then cuts all our meats. They clean and cut the produce. They slice and portion cheeses. During certain shifts and hours, they create and assemble our breakfast lunch and dinner items. Food Prep positions are mostly part time. We have a few full time food prep workers. Food Prep is done from 5:00 am to 6:30 pm, six days a week with various shifts now available.<br>

Delivery Specialist: We are a drop off disposable food service company. Delivery Specialists are trained to prep supplies for each delivery, assemble the orders, deliver the orders and set up beautiful presentations. All delivery specialists must have a valid California drivers license, proof of insurance, and a vehicle they are willing to use for delivery. A hearty compensation is paid for mileage. Most of our delivery specialists work from 10-2 Monday through Friday but we do staff the position from 6:30 am - 6:30 pm six days a week.<br>

Position Summary

The Online Content Manager is responsible for the maintenance, modification, and update of all content for Freedom from Hunger’s public Web site and associated program- or initiative-specific sites, which includes Reach. The Online Content Manager will work with colleagues throughout the organization to ensure that all Web-based resources for staff are accurate, useful, and easily obtained.

*Ensure robust presence by Freedom from Hunger on its public Web sites by regularly updating and refreshing all posted material

*Working with colleagues across the organization, propose new content that advances Freedom from Hunger’s commitment to a dynamic, informative site that serves a variety of audiences—individual donors, institutional funders, partners, peer organizations, and the general public

*Be vigilant to ensure www.freedomfromhunger.org is serving first as the organization’s chief communications tool to a casual site visitor or potential donor without sacrificing any richness of content for the practiced or item-specific visitor
<br>
*Review, edit, approve, and post content submitted by Davis- or country-level program staff
<br>
*Develop and implement systems and procedures for managing and updating all Web content that inform staff of the status of specific activities
<br>
*Define protocol for editing and translating Spanish, French, and English content
<br>
*Collaborate with key program staff on all electronic schedules and opportunities, integrating the objectives of communications efforts with that of the Website

*Working with Web counsel when appropriate, identify metrics to measure and track visitor usage and page hits/visits

The Director of Communications directs and manages all public relations, media relations, public information, and community relations activities, and leads the design, implementation, and evaluation of a broad range of other communications activities encompassing the Internet, advertising, and institutional promotion. The Director of Communications plays a leading role in shaping and enhancing Freedom from Hunger’s public image with direct, favorable consequences for the organization’s development program and position of global leadership in one or more fields.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

*Work with the VPEA and others to design and install a communications program that serves Freedom from Hunger’s multifaceted constituency, including Freedom’s global staff, individual donors, institutional funders, partners, peer organizations, technical and academic organizations, and the general public
<br>
*Develop and manage a team of communications professionals who will be responsible for compelling, timely, and effective activities and materials that advance Freedom’s mission and enhance its profile
<br>
*Plan and implement an annual plan for communications that reflects, strengthens, and supports Freedom’s strategic plans
<br>
*Provide leadership to the Creative Services Manager in fulfilling the need for compelling print materials and distribution and promotion mechanisms, with an experienced eye toward matching collateral with audience
<br>
*Provide leadership to the Online Content Manager in exploiting the Internet and Freedom from Hunger’s website/s for maximum value, including vigorous and compelling content and distribution and promotion mechanisms that tap, retain, and incite public interest
<br>
*Develop and cultivate media contacts in a strategic effort to advance Freedom from Hunger’s leadership in the fields of microfinance and integrated services for the very poor and to establish Freedom from Hunger’s prominence in wealth center markets across the U.S., including the San Francisco Bay Area
<br>
*Liaise with the Davis-based and global staff to ensure all communications needs and opportunities are anticipated and satisfied in a timely and effective fashion
<br>
*Lead the internal effort to identify and equip all public speakers on behalf of Freedom from Hunger with training and coaching for speaking appearances, ranging from conferences and industry gatherings to donor cultivation and stewardship events
<br>
*Serve as a member of the External Affairs Management Team with the VPEA, Director of Individual Gifts, and Director of Institutional Gifts
<br>

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Prior Experience

*Ten years’ experience in communications and marketing with a record of increasing levels of responsibility and expertise, preferably in the nonprofit sector and with some knowledge of international development.

*Undergraduate degree in appropriate discipline, preferred.

Job Description: Peer Educator/Driver<br>
Basic Requirements:<br>
1.	Physical health that allows the employee to use public or private transportation, to walk distances up to 1 mile to parking areas or other University offices, and work in their assigned area for periods up to 8 hours per day with appropriate breaks.<br>
2.	Literacy that allows the worker to complete record keeping forms necessary to the data collection and reporting associated with this project. This will involve report writing and record keeping duties.<br>
3.	Effective communication and problem solving skills and experience dealing with diverse individuals and communities. This will have the skills and experience necessary to display client-centered, non-judgmental services to all prospective clients, and to participate in planning and coordination meetings with others from the service community. <br>
4.	Employee must have a reliable car for use in transporting clients as a significant part of the program’s activities. California driver’s license and insurance required. Mileage reimbursement is made for all business travel at $.41/mile. <br>

Poor attendance or the lack of achievement of assigned objectives will be cause for employee counseling sessions and other personnel action, including termination, as necessary. <br>
2.	Be responsible for assigned record keeping and data reporting. They will be required to submit complete, accurate records to the case manager about their work with clients.  <br>
3.	Work with all clients following the agency’s guidelines, which require non-judgmental, caring interactions. All HRS staff, interns, volunteers and others who are associated with the agency will refrain from inappropriate interactions with clients, including buying or selling items, lending money or participating in personal relationships outside of the workplace or business hours. <br>
4.	Conduct client interviews and on-going contacts in support of the case management program’s effective operation. This will include assisting the case manager in updating the case plan for each admitted client and following up on referrals made to other service providers and re-contacting clients to follow up on services given. <br>
5.	Collect and enter data to be used in the evaluation of program effectiveness and work with others in creating evaluation reports for use in assessing project accomplishments.<br>
6.	Collaborate with all staff in the Emergency Department in providing connected and effective services that support other’s efforts in providing quality care.  <br>
7.	Attend all assigned staff and team meetings, and participate appropriately in the planning and review of project activities. <br>
8.	Participate in on-going tasks involved with data collection and participate in working groups in support of the quality management process.<br>
9.	Complete other appropriate tasks as assigned by supervisors in carrying out the project. <br>

We are currently looking for a full-time Equipment Attendant. This is an entry level position with potential to grow!<br>

Purpose:<br>
<br>
Under the direction of the Branch Manager, the Equipment Attendant performs the duties necessary to assist in the efficient flow of customers through the rental yard location; assists customers with needs, loads and unloads equipment and performs routine maintenance on equipment.<br>
<br>
Principal Responsibilities:<br>
<br>
&gt; Greet customers and attend to their needs<br>
&gt; Check rental contracts to be sure the right equipment goes out<br>
&gt; Check fluid levels in equipment before loading<br>
&gt; Instruct customers in the proper use of equipment<br>
&gt; Clean and service vehicles and equipment<br>
&gt; Maintain the clean and professional appearance of the rental yard<br>
&gt; Keep work station clean and stocked with service tags and fuel<br>
&gt; Deliver and pick up equipment and supplies<br>
&gt; Check equipment for damage upon return, notifying the counter of damage, and filling out return tags for all returned equipment<br>
&gt; Perform duties in safe, effective and professional manner<br>
&gt; Abide to company policies and procedures<br>
&gt; Perform other related duties as needed<br>
<br>
Successful candidates must:<br>
&gt; Possess a valid California driver's license and maintain a clean driving record that is within company standards and the company's insurance carrier's requirements.<br>
&gt; Possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent<br>
&gt; Have a mechanical background<br>
&gt; Be able to lift (unaided) 40lbs dead weight to chest level<br>
&gt; Work outside in various climates<br>
&gt; Work on weekends and some holidays<br>
&gt; Maintain a professional personal appearance<br>
