This position reports directly to the Marketing & Brand Manager.
EXPECTATIONS
The designer will generate graphics projects, signage and marketing materials as necessary. Must work well under pressure; handle tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of detail and juggling multiple priorities and projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Stay current with popular culture through magazines, movies, music and fashion.
• Maintain consistent templates for Marketing Materials taking into account our company identity.
• Responsible for the creation of all Sales fliers, brochures and catalogs.
• Generate and follow up on all signage requests to completion, this includes printing or outsourcing for print.
• Work with Sales to generate online graphics as necessary.
• Develop woven labels, hangtags and printed neck labels with necessary information from Licensors along with industry compliance information.
• Attend and participate in department meetings.
• Work with Marketing Manager to manage workloads and keep track of assigned projects.
• Learn, understand and follow department procedures.
• Research and provide insight on licenses, current events and future growth areas for the company and department direction.
• Develop an understanding for print techniques and their application.
• Attend some tradeshows as needed – further educate yourself in our markets.
• Ability to expand on themes and projects and be able to explain directions.
• Know to ask what each job requires and ask appropriate questions to complete.
• Complete assignments on time utilizing available resources and meet all deadlines.
• Learn department network and workflow so that assignments are filed, saved and backed up properly.

Responsibilities / Requirements
• Ability to conceptualize original designs suited for web or print projects and execute professional mock ups in a time efficient manner
• A good eye for creativity and ability to design user interfaces
• Candidate must possess a strong command of web standards, cross-browser compatibility, accessibility and various web-related optimization techniques.
• Develop front-end code using XHTML and CSS

9. Physical skills and abilities to performance these tasks: includes excellent computer skills and ability to type numbers and letters accurately and quickly 8 hours per day; ability to sit for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours a day at a computer desk; ability to stand for 3 hours or more; ability to bend, stoop, and twist while lifting up to 20 pounds; ability to climb a ladder while lifting up to 20 pounds at or below shoulder left; ability to communicate effectively on the telephone and in person.
