This is a managerial position, supervising all Sacramento editors, copyeditors, and staff reporters. The editor is responsible for ensuring high standards of quality in the editorial content of the newspaper. A wide degree of creativity and innovation is expected.  The editor supports the long-standing editorial mission of the SN&R and must be dedicated to enhancing that vision. The editor is responsible for outreach into our local communities on editorial matters. The editor is expected to help develop strategies for exploring new media models in a changing media environment.

The editor works with our management team to identify and pursue ways that the SN&R can use its role to create positive change within our community. The editor works closely with our art director. The editor supervises our projects editor, who coordinates copy for all special issues, guides, N&R events programs as well as editorial content for advertising issues. The editor represents editorial vision both internally to the staff and externally to the community.

<description><![CDATA[I will be shooting a online catalog shoot at my studio. You will be wearing white t-shirts, sweatshirts, etc and the various logos will be put on them in photoshop. I need 8 to 10 models of various ages and ethnicities. Should take no longer than 2 hours per model I am factoring in one hour for hair and makeup ( hair and makeup artist will be there to do your makeup, you should arrive clean/clean) and one hour for shooting. Clients T-shirts, sweatshirts, will be supplied but you will need to supply your own shoes, pants, shorts etc. Casual clothing is recommended.<br>
<br>
This will be a casual shoot and all shots will be full length on a white background. Yes you may use the shots for your portfolio and I can supply you with files for your use if you wish. It is not a huge job and you should be in & out in less than two hours.<br>
<br>
Needs men and women all ethnicities all ages above 16.<br>
<br>
Date: June 24th 2008, from about 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm<br>
Place: My studio in Sacramento. If you are selected I will send directions.<br>
Pay: $100 for the two hours if we need you longer we will negotiate it there but I don't expect it to even run two hours.<br>

I will not provide transportation to or from the shoot so you must have transportation. Since it is low pay I would not expect anyone who is outside of the Sacramento area to be interested. If you are fine but you will need to be there at the call time. We will be running in one hour call times. in other words one model at 12:00, one at 1:00, one at 2:00, etc.<br>
