I don't even know what business I have still checking your "green" site but I saw the pictures from the 4th.

I don't know why, but some part of me is - "comforted" comes to mind but it's still not right - that TK was there. (Her picture's forever ingrained in my mind. It's all water under the bridge now. Through everything that happened, I learned so much: about life, love, and myself. For the record, I still feel awful about how things ended the last time I saw you. I still remember your face in the orange glow of the parking lot lights when I had to turn you down, and it still hurts me. I didn't want to hurt you, but I hope you understand my reasoning. We gave it our best shot - several times - and it still didn't just "work." I still miss that friendship we had. I still care about you.

Every now and then, something will remind me of you and I'll get the impulse to call. I stop after unlocking my phone and decide that it's best that I don't. I don't want to pull at the stitches if you're still healing.

I'm still healing, I still have some tender spots that make themselves known in my current relationship. But that's part of the process: peeling back the remaining bandages and letting the scabs get some air.
