Position Responsibilities
1. Conduct volunteer enrollments, including: individual orientations, interviews, and completion of any other enrollment processes. Determine if a home visit is necessary.
2. Conduct client enrollments including request for service, parent orientations, parent/child interviews, and enrollment processes. Assess and refer families for alternative or additional services as needed.
3. Review all enrollment information and make recommendations for participation in the program based on this information.
4. Conduct volunteer and client reassessments/updates.
5. Provide timely and comprehensive reports.
6. Schedule and facilitate initial introductions for assigned cases.
7. Carry caseload of 65-75 matches and complete scheduled check-ins as set forth by National BBBSA policy.
8. Document and monitor all elements of match support and supervision.
9. Develop strategic interventions to identify and strengthen match relationships that require extra support to continue to grow.
10. Utilize program-based outcome evaluations to assess match impact on youth development.
11. Conduct exit interviews by phone with all parties at match closure. Assess reasons for match closure and re-match potential.
12. Identify and promote re-engagement of volunteers as Bigs, board members, donors and in other volunteer capacities.
Job Qualifications
Bachelors degree in social services, human resources or related field
Experience working with both child and adult populations; specific assessment, intake or interview experience preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Must have a car, valid California drivers license, and meet state required automobile insurance minimums.
High level of fluency in speaking, writing, and reading Spanish

Excellent oral and written communication skills reflecting solid customer service and high-level interviewing skills.
Ability to form appropriate assessment-based relationships
Relate well in multicultural environments.
Maintain confidentiality throughout daily operations.
Effectively collaborate with other volunteer match staff and community agencies.
Use time effectively and focus on details.
Ability to collect meaningful data and draw solid conclusions
Work Environment
Routine office environment.
20 hours per week
Flexible work hours to meet program needs, including nights and weekends.
Travel to local communities and neighborhoods within Sacramento, Yolo and Placer counties.
