This involves following up on the details, protocols and standards in existence as well as suggesting new ways to shine. You will be integral in coordinating, arranging, reporting and recognizing. Description:  PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:<br>

Receive callers, walk-ins, and e-mail traffic; conduct preliminary screening; direct clients to appropriate resource person or provide basic resource information for family assistance; record and forward messages for staff. <br>

Conduct program registration or schedule client appointments, as required. <br>
<br>
Complete data entry for group programs, one-on-one contacts, and information and referrals. <br>
<br>
General clerical duties include: type and prepare correspondence and other related documents in appropriate format, maintain site library, enter resource material into regional intranet library, processes in-coming and out-going mail, maintain designated sections of the intranet, enter data into database, file and maintain documents; assist with monitoring and distributing marketing material, maintain supply of office materials, track site budget expenditures. <br>

Assist staff in completing routine paperwork, filing, and providing overall administrative support. <br>
<br>
Assist staff with completion of Training/ Travel requests, Expense Reports and Mileage Claims. Orders supplies for office. <br>
<br>
Perform other administrative duties as assigned by supervisor.  <br>

Education and Experience <br>
<br>
High school diploma or equivalent and four years’ experience.<br>
<br>
Military lifestyle experience preferred (personal or professional).<br>
<br>
Competent in written and spoken English.<br>
<br>
Ability to work a flexible schedule (e.g. periodic weekends) as mission needs require. <br>
<br>
Proficient at office computer systems including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.<br>
<br>

Training<br>

The Compliance Processor will be based out of our corporate office in Sacramento and will report to the Compliance Director. Some of you may have seen this ad before. If you have any experience in conducting investigations or skip tracing, I encourage you to come and meet with us. We have immediate, full time openings for experienced skip tracers. You will be given some basic training and then a queue size of roughly 100-125 files. All of these accounts are loans that are delinquent, some are prior to charge off status and some have already been charged off. Most files have not been worked by another skip tracer. All these accounts are collateralized loans, some are cars, some motorcycles. All of our clients are major financial institutions, “A list” clients whose names you are familiar with. INEXPERIENCED OR NO EXPERIENCE AT SKIP TRACING

If you have no experience, but you are reliable, hard working, and you have a good speaking voice, you may find that this is a job you can do well at. Some of our best skip tracers are people who didn't even know what "skip tracing" meant until they read our ad. 
<br>

Skip tracing involves contacting people who know the person you are looking for. You will ask them questions to try and get the location of the skip. You are tracing their steps, i.e. skip tracing. The people who can get what they want over the phone from anyone they speak with are the one’s who excel at this job. We train you how to find the phone numbers and we train you what to say to be successful on these calls. 
<br>

It helps if you are a curious by nature type of person, and if you are good at getting people who don’t want to share information to do exactly that. You also will be speaking with people with different backgrounds, different accents, different ages and different education levels. Your ability to immediately adapt to the person on the other end of the phone will help determine your success.

You do not need to know how to do this job, as we can train you. Some of the best skip tracers I’ve hired in my twenty-five years in the industry have been people who didn’t even know what the word meant. I remember waiting in line at the Wal-Mart in Folsom in the early 90s and after hearing the check out girl converse with the five customers in front of me, getting a smile out of everyone, I knew she would make a great skip tracer- (Hi Leisa if you’re reading this&#9786;) . Within a few months after she started at our company, she was making at least four or five times what she made at Wal-Mart, and she found her niche. She now owns her own company in our industry, she makes lots of money, and she turned out to be one of the best I’ve ever worked with. I can tell you dozens of other similar stories to that, so don’t feel like you have to have done this job to apply.

If you also are good at negotiating with people or debating, that skill set can come in handy as many of the files you work will involve making contact and getting the finance companies customer to do as you are requesting, which in most cases will be something the finance company was not able to get them to do. If you believe in the philosophy “You get more bees with honey”, you are in the right place. If you can also be stern when you need to be, in a polite yet firm manner, you can be successful.

After your 90 day probationary period, your total compensation as a skip tracer can vary from a low of $35K to double that, if not more.  The difference between those numbers is YOU. We develop leads to locate these people, i.e. neighbors, old friends, relatives, etc. and we make calls, and we find them. Once they are located, we either advise our client of the location of the collateral and they assign the account for repossession, or they have us assign the account for repossession with one of our contracted vendors throughout the United States.

We don’t guess where a person lives, and we don't assume they live at an address just because their credit bureau says they live there, even if its the most recently reported address. We verify every locate with a confirmed source, unlike many of our competitors and clients. This gives us the credibility with our outside repossession agents throughout the United States to get them to work our deals in a diligent and efficient manner, unlike the deals they get from other Skip Guessing companies.

POSITION SUMMARY<br>
The California Legislative Specialist is responsible for assisting the California Public Policy Director in all aspects of the Alzheimer’s Association’s California state policy activities, including planning and implementing advocacy events in support of the Association’s public policy goals.  He/she is also responsible for assisting in the planning of quarterly meetings of the California Council of the Alzheimer’s Association, all general office work, and maintaining the Council’s website.  Position requires occasional travel, including quarterly Saturday meetings in California and the annual Forum in Washington, DC. Although the position is managed and supervised through the Alzheimer’s Association National Office, the employer of record is the Northern California/Northern Nevada Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, which serves as fiscal agent of the Council. This position is located in Sacramento, California.<br>
<br>
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS<br>
<br>
State Policy Activities (35%)<br>
•	Use the legislative information system and other internet resources to monitor legislation and track committee and floor activities.<br>
•	Review state legislation and assess the impact on families living with Alzheimer’s disease.<br>
•	Maintain and update a schedule of bill and budget hearings on the Council’s priority legislation and budget issues.<br>
•	Draft the legislative report and regularly update the bill summaries and status.<br>
•	Draft correspondence, fact sheets, and other materials.<br>
•	Meet with Legislative staff to discuss the Council’s views and concerns, and represent the Council at legislative hearings and in meetings with other organizations.<br>

Administrative office and accounting support (35%)<br>
•	Perform general office support, including: responding to telephone calls, e-mail messages, faxes, etc.; taking messages and relaying information; maintaining office supplies and office equipment (e.g. personal computers, fax machine, copier, printers, postage meter, etc.); making travel plans; processing mail; processing expense reimbursements; and typing correspondence, reports, and other documents.<br>
•	Code invoices and submit to fiscal agent for payment and maintain all financial records.<br>
•	Maintain files and office in a neat and orderly manner.<br>

Meeting and event planning (20%)<br>
•	Coordinate and handle all logistics and preparation for the State Alzheimer’s Plan Task Force and subcommittee meetings.<br>
•	Coordinate all Sacramento advocacy events (Sacramento Advocacy Day and other Alzheimer’s Action Days), including registration, logistics, and materials preparation.<br>
•	Coordinate quarterly Council meetings, including handling all meeting logistics and catering, supporting Chapter delegates and staff with travel, preparing meeting materials, and taking and drafting minutes.<br>

Website Development (10%)<br>
•	Maintain and regularly update Council website.<br>
•	Prepare materials and ensure information is complete and current.<br>

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS/DEGREE REQUIRED/DESIRED, AND EXPERIENCE<br>
•	Bachelor’s degree in political science, public policy, public health, or a related field preferred.<br>
•	Minimum two years experience in administrative and/or office management as well as legislative work, health policy preferred.<br>
•	Experience working in a non-profit organization preferred.<br>
•	Knowledge of California’s health care delivery system and aging issues as well as California’s legislative process.<br>
•	Computer and technology skills, including use of Microsoft office products (Excel and PowerPoint), the Internet, and electronic communication methods.<br>

This position requires a 2-4 year college degree (or working towards one) in Sales/Marketing, Business Management or related field and/or a combination of both work experience and education.<br>

Must be able to type 40+ words per minute, and have an intermediate understanding of all Microsoft Office programs<br>
Possess good written and verbal communication skills<br>
