LOOKING FOR:
Ideally I am looking for a mature/responsible/intelligent but progressive and “open minded” female roommate (about 28 – 45 years old). Financially responsible and stable is a must!
o Environmentally “aware” but not overly-eco.
o Organic minded but no strict dietary rules necessarily.
o Has a dog (no small dogs or cats) or is okay living with and respecting dogs within the household.
o Moderately clean – With dogs we have to keep on top of the house but I am in NO WAY a neat freak.
o Responsible – no forgetting to lock the door, leaving keys in the door or allowing sketchy strangers into the house. If you are generally “ungrounded or spacey” this is not the house for you.
ABOUT ME/US:
I have owned my home for about 2 year now and live here with my 2 dogs Chloe & Avery who are both 45-pound mixed breed females. I have had only 2 roommates over this period which has worked out well. My current roommate is only moving away to be with her boyfriend who lives in Boston (no hard feelings).
o I am 32 years old.
o I am a graphic designer and I WORK FROM HOME so I am home most of the day which could be annoying if you are also home but is great if you are at work all day and need someone to be home with your dog.
o I try to eat organic and don’t eat red meat but am not opposed to it being cooked in the house.
o I would say that I am urban/artsy/with a little hippie edge – e.g. I have some tasteful tattoos, do lots of yoga and have a generally spunky but creative take on life.
THE HOUSE/ROOM:
The house is a smallish 3 bedroom 1.5 bath house in SOUTH CURTIS PARK which is right by the really nice houses in Curtis Park but definitely in a “transitional” area. The house is super cute and was fully remodeled in 2006 so everything is really clean and nice and energy efficient.
• You will be renting the master bedroom which is about 10’X13’ - not super big but fits a queen sized bed, dresser, night tables and a huge dog crate very well right now.
• You will have ˝ use of the office (the 3rd bedroom).
• Back yard is fenced in and doggie proof.
• There is a 1 car garage which I use for storage so you will have plenty of storage access.
• There is a 2 car driveway so there is nice mostly-shaded off street parking.
• I have a brand new front loading washer and dryer which are really nice.
• Central heat/air.
• Shared bathroom with bath & shower.
• Rent is $500 and you will be expected to pay ˝ of the utilities which usually amounts to $125 a month.
• I pay for the wireless internet so that is free to you.
