In a lead capacity, develops and maintains complex databases, programs andreporting capabilities to meet the Voice Portal and Business unit needs.
Analyzes user and business requirements; determines appropriate technicalapproach and develops specifications for implementation of various applications.
Works with system vendors to enhance existing programs and to coordinateimplementation of changes.
Maintains existing system screens and report writer code. Develops specifications, formats and report design; codes and tests new reports andqueries.
Participates in the development and use of other user oriented tools for dataextraction and analysis.
Participates with management in development of goals and objectives as theyrelate to systems needs and changes.
Makes recommendations for new and enhanced systems, prepares cost benefitanalyses and justifications.
Participates in department projects and responds to request and inquiries asneeded."
Bachelor's degree and seven years related experience and/or training; orequivalent combination of education and experience.
Familiarity with network communications technology.
Comprehensive knowledge of English Language Programming or current generationprogramming languages.
Knowledge of operating systems and systems hardware maintenance; familiaritywith network communications technology.
The ideal candidate will have proven ability to create and sustain a ComputerTechnology Vendor Management program.
He/she will be the key liaison betweenVoice Portal Team and the Information Technology Team.
This candidate will alsobe the primary interface between the IVR and the various hardware and softwarevendors.
The role is also responsible for ensuring the IVR is in compliance withthe Business needs of Blue Shield of California.
Solid technology vendor andcontract management background is required.
