A prestigious tax law firm, located in Sacramento, CA, is seeking a Junior Programmer for full-time employment. This is a daytime (Monday through Friday) opportunity. You will be primarily working with Visual Basic 6, SQL Server 2000 and Microsoft Access 97. This person must be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of programming concepts and best practices (with emphasis on Visual Basic 6 and database design concepts), but does not need to have extensive prior work experience as a programmer. You will be part of a team of programmers supporting custom in-house applications, adding new features, fixing bugs and making adjustments due to changes in business rules. A long-term goal for the company is to migrate their applications to C#, however until that time, Visual Basic 6 will be the primary development language. This is a great opportunity for the right person to work in a fun, fast-paced environment.
