Qualifications:
3+ years Java software development experience
Experience developing cross-browser web applications using Java/JSP UI frameworks
SQL and Relational database experience
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Ideal candidates will be action-oriented individuals with demonstrated skills in the following areas:
• UI development skills using JSP, Struts, HTML, DHTML, JavaScript and
CSS -- Bonus points for Ajax
• Object Oriented Design skills
• O/R Mapping experience using Spring and Hibernate
• Test Driven Development experience
Build automation experience using Ant or Maven
• Proficient using version control systems like Subversion
• Solid troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Experience with Resin (preferred) or Apache or Tomcat
• Experience with DB2 (preferred) or Oracle or MySQL
• Strong knowledge and keen interest learning and adapting emerging
tools and technologies in the industry
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Desire and ability to learn about the eye care industry
• Unit test framework experience
