Summary:
Analyze, design, code, test, implement, maintain, and document computer system software. Lead other developers, following established coding conventions and project management methodologies. Lead and work on multiple software projects and with multiple operating environments, development utilities, and programming languages. Analyze user business requirements. Other duties may be assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Evaluate business processes and provide recommendations on software to support or improve the process. Work with other employees and clients to establish functional requirements for applications and interface utilities. Design and document practical test plans for applications and utilities which relate to established business needs. Create and integrate applications and utilities to address a variety of needs.
Design and create lucid training and support documentation for applications and utilities. Support and perform the functional and performance testing of applications and utilities. Effectively communicate the results of any diagnosis or testing to the appropriate stakeholders. Safely implement new or changed applications and interface utilities in the production environment. Diagnose production problems in existing proprietary applications and utilities as they are encountered. Rapidly provide "work around" solutions for immediate production problems in existing applications and utilities. Design and code modifications to proprietary applications and utilities which prevent the reoccurrence of problems encountered. Administer and maintain selected commercial software interacting with existing applications and utilities. Provide end user support for proprietary applications and utilities. Lead other developers to follow approved coding conventions, development methodologies, and support models.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversees the technical functions, job performance, and project timelines of other developers. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year College or university; two years related industry experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a degree of knowledge of the following software:
Proficent in the following:
ANSI SQL/T-SQL, MS Windows Server, MS Office, ASP.NET, VB.NET or C#.NET,
XHTML/DHTML
Intermediate in the following:
Ajax, Web Services, Cold Fusion
Basic in the following:
SOA, Satori Mailroom Toolkit, PrintStream, XMPie, Linux/BSD, USPS DMM
