Established and fast-growing Regional Internet Application Development Company is currently accepting applications for a full-time Help Desk Technician position.
Job Description
Candidate will be expected to work in a team to support custom web-based applications and hosting and connectivity services for company's clients. Typical projects include the customization of off-the-shelf software packages to client requirements, integration of additional software components, creation of custom business logic, and ongoing maintenance of deployed applications.
Candidate should have the ability to accurately assess client issues and clearly communicate solutions. Applicants lacking some of the desired skills below may be considered for an internship position and exceptional applicants may be considered for future placement on server management or off-site technical support team. Skills
• Proficient in TCP/IP networking and common protocols (DNS, SMTP, POP, HTTP, etc.)
• Familiarity with web browsing technologies and PDAs / mobile devices.
• Experience using CRM / Ticketing systems
Experience
At least three years work experience in listed technologies and/or languages.
Education
BS in Computer Science or Information Systems or some suitable combination of formal education, professional training, and work experience is required.
Work Environment
Company is headquartered in midtown Sacramento, CA. Office environment is casual and collegial, with most projects being completed in small teams (4-7) under the supervision of a Project Manager. Average project engagement is 3-4 months, new projects launch about every 2 weeks and the projects present variety, diversity and opportunity to learn new skills.
Schedule: Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
