Our company’s main focus is to recommend, implement, and maintain technology platforms for businesses that recognize the value and importance of a well managed IT infrastructure.  We are looking for a hands-on technician who has experience providing technology end user support to businesses of between 10 and 200 people.  Each technician is expected to maintain an accurate and thorough documentation of each customer’s environment and submit detailed records of all work recommended and completed for each client.  Approximately half of the technical work will be located at our office in Sacramento, the other half being onsite at our client locations around the Sacramento area.   <br>

Requirements:<br>
Our technicians have a minimum of 2 years of demonstrated, reliable knowledge and experience in helpdesk support or IT administration.  After-hours (moonlighting) consulting experience will be considered for the right candidate.  We are currently looking for people who have obtained basic certifications such as A+ or MCP. Ideal candidate will have broad experience with Microsoft technologies including Windows Server 2003/2008, Active Directory, Exchange 2003/2007, Windows XP/Vista/7 and Office. Mac OSX experience a plus. Candidate should also have general experience with LAN/WAN fundamentals such as TCP/IP, routers, firewalls, switches, cabling, and troubleshooting.  Business casual dress is required (no shorts, jeans, or tennis shoes) and you must have a valid California driver’s license and a reliable car for transportation to client locations. Must be able to work Saturdays as scheduled.<br>

<h3>Responsibilities</h3>

<ul>
<li> Helping customers solve technical issues with our service
<li> Answering questions from customers and prospective customers about the features and capabilities of our service
<li> Developing customer-facing documentation for our website on an as-needed basis
<li> Communicating customer needs and wishes to our development and engineering staff

<p>Work is done primarily via email, with some phone contact.</p>

<h3>Requirements</h3>
<ul>
<li> Excellent understanding of the technical fundamentals of the Internet. You should have a solid knowledge of internet protocols such as SSH, FTP, SFTP & HTTP, as well as the ability to use diagnostic tools such as traceroute, ping, and dig. 
<li> Strong command line Linux skills. You should have setup and run your own Linux servers before.
<li> Excellent Windows, Mac & Linux troubleshooting ability. 
<li> The ability to be a good listener, and to really understand a customer problem or question and help them solve it.
<li> Excellent writing skills. Most of your work will be written (email, documentation, etc.).
<li> Excellent 'bedside manner' on the telephone. Some support will be provided over the phone (via our VoIP system)
<li> 2-3 years previous experience in a technical lead role

<h3>Availability Requirements</h3>

<p>This is currently a one-month contract position, but could easily develop into a long-term position. You'll be working from home, and should plan to spend between 15-20 hours each week on your ExaVault duties. The schedule is somewhat flexible if you have other obligations (school, kids, etc.), but you will need to work during the extended US business day (6am to 6pm PST).</p>

<h3>Workspace Requirements</h3>

<p>You should have a quiet, professional, distraction free workspace from which to work. We are currently seeking a dynamic, self-starting, versatile airless paint sprayer service technician who resides in the greater Sacramento metropolitan area to fill a full-time position (M-F; 8:00AM - 4:30PM) at our Elk Grove facility to repair and service a wide range of airless paint sprayers and pressure washers from a variety of manufacturers. Successful candidates will be required to service, maintain and pick-up/deliver equipment as necessary. Some warehouse functions such as shipping and receiving of parts and material will also be required. Ancillary administrative tasks may also be assigned. Daily assignments may also include assisting qualified service technicians in the field repairing equipment for home centers, general retailers and grocery stores. This equipment includes electric handicap carts, electric cart pushers, paint tinting and mixing equipment, pipe threaders, panel saws, radial arm saws, pneumatic air tube systems, carpet carousels/racks, wire carousels/racks, belted conveyor check-outs, electric shopping carts, and much more. <br>
