Respond to calls dispatched to you in a safe, timely manner. Provide roadside assistance in a safe, professional manner, free of accidents, injuries and damage.
Communications with dispatch shall be professional and informative as relates to information necessary to document your status in servicing a call as well as accurate ETA’s when requested.
You are expected to professionally and safely perform emergency road service duties as may be dispatched to you such as, but not necessarily limited to:
o Changing flat tires or airing up tires that are just low on air (T1 & T2)
o Deliver a few gallons of fuel to those out of gas (T4)
o Perform minor roadside repairs (T5)
o Perform lock out procedures for customers who have locked their keys in their car (T6)
o Perform damage free towing (T7)
o Perform accident towing and scene clean-up (T8)
• Jump start vehicles whose batteries pass the load test and are only discharged and unable to start the vehicle (T3). If assigned AAA battery service test equipment you are expected to test every T3 call for a bad battery and then educate the customer regarding AAA battery service program.
Daily inspect truck for safety, organization and related equipment, tools, rigging inventory, turn in complete pre-shift inspection prior to beginning duty each day. Immediately report tools or equipment damaged or missing.
Safe driving behavior is a must. Obey all traffic laws, drive defensively, always wear your seat belt, remember our 4 second following rule, minimize backing and left turns.
Trucks are kept clean inside and out, maintain the truck(s) fuel tanks half full at all times, maintain truck fluid levels according to manufacturer standards and note quantities added on the pre-shift inspection sheet.
Maintain the storage yard in a safe, clean and orderly manner, ensure that all trash and cigarette butts are properly disposed of and not left in the truck or on the ground.
Secure the storage yard when leaving.
Attend safety meetings and training classes as scheduled, obey all safety policies and regulations, consistently use safety equipment and clothing, drive safely and defensively.
Arrive at work on time daily, ready for duty when shift starts, well groomed, wearing a clean uniform, black belt, black work boots, with shirt tucked in, look clean and professional at all times.
Invoices and paperwork are to be prepared legibly, correctly and on time for processing by the accounting staff, complete and turn-in "Daily Driver Report" each shift. All related invoices and payments must be included too.
Smile and greet the customer. Remember they are having a bad day. Provide each AAA customer with a Thank You card.
