Must be self-starter who is able to multitask effectively. Strong communication, organizational and customer service skills are essential. Must be proficienct with such applications as Microsoft Excel or QuickBooks, Sage, Ultra Tax. The ideal candidate has at least five years' experience.
Responsibilities include the following:
Performing client bookkeeping functions on an annual, quarterly and/or monthly basis for 20 to 30 accounts
Processing cash receipts/disbursements and accounts receivable/payable
Reconciling bank statements
Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements including balance sheet, income statement and cash flow for assigned clients
Cash management and income and expense projections
Analyzing general ledger accounts and preparing journal entries
Preparing quarterly and annual payroll and sales tax returns
Preparing business and individual income tax returns, a plus
Supervising and reviewing the work of data entry and accounting clerks
To be considered you must also have the following experience, skills & knowledge:
Minimum 5 years of Experience in accounting related field.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Working knowledge of MS Office programs, Proficient in QuickBooks, Sage knowledge of Ultra Tax or other tax software
