Duncan Drum Carder, 8" hand crank model, built to give continuous service under sustained heavy use. Frame is Oregon White Oak. Drum is laminated high density particle board with hardwood ends and then precision turned on a metal lathe. Aircraft type nuts are used throughout. Sintered bronze graphite impregnated "oilite" bearings are used for the axles of both drums. The card cloth is medium fine with about 80 points per square inch. Rubber feet protect work surfaces and prevent sliding. Comes with an additional fine fiber brush, doffing tool, replacement drive belt, allen wrenches, instruction booklet.
