1906 Brussels Grand Prix Omega Watch co. promotional inkwell.... probably. It's made of porcelain, three inches tall, has a sliding metal lid and on it with a metal tag stamped NPS on one side, CL on the other and is attached with wire. Written on it is " Brussels Grand Prix 1897, Paris 1900, Milan 1906, a picture of a watch face and Omega, The Watch of Matchless Merit".
The National Inkwell Collectors Society couldn't appraise or find more history on it, as nothing comparable could be found. They recommended Southbys Auction house and again, they couldn't find one similar.Ive spent hours online, over years, and did find one somewhat similar in style, but the photo didn't go anywhere and it eventually dropped offline. If anyone has some knowledge to share, I welcome it.
So, just for laughs, I'm pricing it at $5,000.82. Maybe a wealthy racing and Omega watch fanatic will come across this.
