A 1993 Stumpjumper with the famous USA-made aluminum metal matrix frame. I got it as a project, figuring I'd build a rigid gravel/townie bike but it's hung in the garage for ten years. Let's face it, I'm a roadie. So, to be clear, it is not rideable in its current state. Here's what you get:
- Frame (scratches, no dents or cracks), stem, headset, handlebars
- TWO FORKS - Original Future Shock suspension fork and a suspension corrected Trek CrMO fork (which I bought and installed)
- XT rear derailleur, NO front derailleur
- LX Triple Crankset - not sure what bottom bracket is in there
- LX Deore canti brakes and levers- no cables
- 7spd LX shifters - don't appear to work now , but I gather these can be serviced
- Mismatched, non-original wheels with 7spd rear cassette
- Tires and tubes - one tube actually holds air!
Asking prices on "The Bay" vary widely, but I'm asking substantially less - especially when you consider the included parts and two forks. I don't know if the suspension fork can be rebuilt - like I said, I'm a road bike kinda guy.
NOTE: while I live in Granite Bay, I visit family in Livermore and Pacifica often, so if you're a serious buyer, we can arrange a rendezvous.
