Bike is in perfect condition, but it’s done too many races to call it “like new”. It’s been flawlessly maintained, and is free of damage other than the tiny nicks from leaning it against a wall now and then. It’s immaculately clean and ready to ride, but it’s rather upset at the last eight years spent hanging in the garage. I’m sure its mood will improve under new ownership.
This was my wife's triathlon and time-trial bike for many years, and she absolutely loved it. I built this bike, so I can answer even the most detailed questions about it.
Build specs:
Shimano Dura-Ace 10s derailleurs, shifters, and 12-27 cassette
Shimano Dura-Ace crank, 53-39, 172.5mm length
Shimano Dura-Ace brake calipers
Zipp 404 wheelset
Zipp Vuka aero cockpit
Michelin Pro4 tires, 700-23 - very low mileage but cracked from age
Ritchey Pro 4-Axis stem, 80mm, 25°
Adamo triathlon saddle
Pedals *not included*
Also includes (not shown):
Spacer kit and tools for Zipp Vuka bars
Build notes:
The steer tube was cut for 30mm of spacers installed. Therefore there's lots of room to adjust up or down.
The bike is currently set up for a 5’9” female cyclist.
Errata:
Some of the clear coat has peeled off the original Orbea paint on the downtube. It’s very difficult to see unless it’s pointed out, but it looks like the clear coat simply didn’t bond to the paint properly. Another spot has a crack in the paint where two frame tubes are joined, but the crack doesn’t extend into the carbon fiber. It cracked because it’s such a sharp corner to cover with paint.
