This super cool and almost still new 1995 GT Backwoods was brought back to life with a couple of key upgrades that basically convert this Mid 90s beauty to a modern Gravel bike:

Mods:
-27.5 inch wheels instead of 26” with new 11s Shimano rear hub and 47mm Ultradinamico tubeless tires on beautiful new Soma Rims
-Modern Gravel drop down bar PRO 400mm, compact 12deg flare with
8s Shimano 600 brifters
-1x8 setup for gearing simplicity, front 40 tooth rear 11-40 for a nice range
-New V style brakes and pads that deliver great breaking performance while keeping the simplicity of cable actuated brakes

All the rest of the components were purposely kept original which was the spirit of the project

The bike rides and feels amazing, super stable and comfortable position that just makes you want to ride more! Its truly a modern Gravel Bike that hasn’t lost its MTB DNA.
