Selling my beloved and retro little Georgena Terry. This is a fantastic bike for commuting around town or taking a leisurely ride on the bikeway. It's also a conversation starter because of the unique design and history.
Georgena Terry was a pioneer in the 1980s and 90s, designing the first bikes with women-specific geometry—which includes the smaller front wheel / larger rear wheel setup which eliminates toe overlap. It looks unconventional, but it's intentional and very comfortable. Terry is considered a legend in the cycling world, she's being inducted into the cycling hall of fame this year!
Lots of women and shorter or petite riders swear by her bikes and designs.
Probably best for a rider ~5'5 or shorter. I'm 5'6" and it's a bit small for me which is why I'm sadly getting rid of her, but it served me well for a year in school.
This bike features:
Vintage Georgena Terry Solstice frame (size small) – made in 1990 or 1991
Unique small front wheel (24") + standard 700c rear – classic Terry design that she came up with in the 80s and was replicated by several other bike companies.
Retro steel frame in purple with teal logo
Comfortable upright riding position, perfect for around-town cruising, weekend rides, or as a stylish campus/commuter bike
Hardly ridden new seat
Never used rear bike rack
Condition: Good! Some typical wear and tear considering she's from the 90s, but rides great.
