Own a piece of Ironman history!
I'm selling my circa 1998 Kestrel 200 EMS road bike configured to race triathlons. This Kestrel 200 EMS frame was made in Santa Cruz, California around 1999 before the company was sold and moved construction over-seas. Kestrel bicycles dominated the Ironman Triathlon Scene through the 1990s and were the bike of choice for many professional triathletes.
I meticulously built this bike to race triathlons, but it can be converted to a true road bike if desired. All parts are in excellent condition and the bike is ready to race today. Every screw has been torqued to specification and it rides and shifts like a dream. 9 speed Shimano drivetrain new chain, Profile Design carbon aerobars with 9 speed bar end shifters. Mavic Ksyrium wheels, Pirelli tires, new Shimano caliper brakes with light weight brake levers, Thompson Elite seat post, lightweight carbon saddle, and other extras to be included. There are places on the frame where I used touch up paint to fill areas were the paint was chipped. But, otherwise the frame is clean and structurally sound.
If you want an affordable, race-proven, race-ready, Triathlon/Road bike that can rival today's bikes, This one is for you.
