Did you know there is a store featuring a full range of books, hidden right "Around the Corner" in the tiny hamlet
of Walnut Grove, located just south of Sacramento, in the Sacramento River Delta region?
That's right, Around the Corner Bookstore, adjacent to the Public Library in Walnut Grove, is open to the public and
features a wide assortment of books ranging from current best sellers to collectors' editions, art and travel guides and
just about anything you can think of. Also featuring DVDs, graphic novels, magazines and all sorts of related media.
Best of all, hardback books are only $1 each and paperbacks are 50 cents! You can't really beat that! All books are
inspected and clean, and all proceeds go to support the Walnut Grove Public Library and their community programs for
young and old alike!
Come on down to beautiful Walnut Grove next time you are cruising the Delta, or make a special trip just to see what
we have in stock...stock rotates regularly so every visit can result in new-found favorites or forgotten classics!
We only recently added a separate "New Arrivals" section (actually its a rolling cart, but its a start...) that features
the good, the bad, and the maybe not so pretty of the donations we receive every month. That means we don't
"filter" these, we get 'em and put them on the cart for a first come, first served experience all at a bargain price of
fifty cents each. That's right, half a dollar gets you your choice of best sellers, fiction, non-fiction, mysteries,
classics, hardcover, softcover, whatever hits our donation box, it goes right here first so you can take it home for a
bargain! And the stock is always changing as books are sold and others donated.
Speaking of donations, we gratefully accept donations of cash, and donations of gently used books are always
greatly appreciated and you can be assured your donations will go to support a great cause!
We are just "Around the Corner" from the Walnut Grove Public Library located at 14177 Market Street, Walnut Grove,
California and our current hours are Thursday 3pm - 6pm and Saturday 1pm - 4pm. We hope to expand our open days
and hours in the near future as word gets out of this treasure trove hidden in our beautiful and historic riverside
community in the Sacramento River Delta.
We hope to see you soon, so please take up this invitation to visit and see what all the Delta has to offer as well as
the beautiful books available in our shop. Our all-volunteer staff is ready to help you find the perfect books for you and
your family! We can also sign you up for the Friends of the Library club, dedicated to helping fund the Walnut Grove
library and its community programs!

Also now available, the new limited edition publication, "Delta Stories, Journal of the Sacramento River Delta
Historical Society Volume 1". This volume focuses primarily on the cultural origins of the delta and the development
of the arts community in delta towns such as Locke, Walnut Grove and Isleton, and includes pieces written about
living history that can be seen and experienced up to this very day.
Priced at $20 per copy, this book is available at Around the Corner Books, or from the Historical Society's website
(we would prefer you came by and bought your copy here, obviously!)
