Copyright 1990 Graphic novel edition of the comic adventure strip Secret Agent X-9 that premiered in January 1934 by famous mystery writer Dashiell Hammett, the man who virtually invented the hard-boiled detective in such novels as The Maltese Falcon and The Thin Man. The artist chosen was less well-known at the time, Alex Raymond, who latter become as famous, thanks to his Sunday comics double-header, Flash Gordon and Jungle Jim.
Measuring 11” x 8 ½” and 206 pages in near new condition with no markings or damaged/ torn pages.
