VRA is a local, Truckee / Tahoe born vacation home service company. We provide operational services (housekeeping, hot tub, maintenance, and on call) for the region's vacation rental properties. Our North Lake Tahoe / Truckee (NLT) branch is a boutique operation with approximately 40 homes under service, and a small team of 4-6 established staff. Current manager is moving home to raise family (and may continue working with us remotely), and seeking individual to replace this position. Candidate will work closely with leadership team to be trained and developed in role beginning Summer / Fall 2019.
The NLT Regional Manager leads the management and growth of our Truckee branch location with key emphasis on operational oversight. Overseeing day to day operations, engaging with and supervising staff, and collaboratively working with company Leadership to achieve the Branch goals and objectives is the core focus of this position.
Oversee field service operations (housekeeping, maintenance, on call)
Ensure VRA Standards are met and Client contracts are satisfied
Oversee warehouse operations and facility management (working with facility manager)
Ensure successful new account setups through field teams
Perform seasonal tasks and responsibilities in the Spring and Fall
Oversee management of company vehicles and their maintenance
Manage hiring / firing efforts (postings, interviews, orientations, etc.)
Manage and assist training of new team members and continuous training programs
Closely engage, develop, and be a leader of and resource for team
Hold staff accountable to job duties and expectations
Enforce disciplinary and compensatory action protocol
Enforce VRA standards of conduct and ensure quality performance
Be available and resourceful to all staff
Satisfy labor laws, and manage staff job environments in reasonable manner – ensure staff are happy!
Client Relations & Communications
Occasionally assist Client Care in local client situations
Ensure clients are satisfied with our services
Sales (optional, depending on candidate / experience)
Collaborate with the sales department on local inquiries, meeting potential clients to explore how we can help with their vacation rental needs, as well as gathering information for estimates
Calculate and provide service estimates to potential clients
Assist the sales department with sales calls for other regions, as needed
Two or more years of supervising / management / leadership experience
Previous vacation rental / hospitality operations experience (preferred)
Ability to lead, strong communications, and professional experience
Live in Truckee / Tahoe (possibly Reno)
A four or all-wheel drive vehicle
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and a general understanding of computer applications
Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday
Certain tasks in this job description may require you to push, pull, move, and/or lift up to 50 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet and be able to push, pull, move and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 10 feet.
