1943 was only year pennies made of steel due to World War 2 all copper was needed to manufacter artillary . Very historical coin and will be 100 years old in 17 years and value will increase at 100 year mark. At my age i may not live to see it so going to leave the other 329 1943 pennies to the grandkids and selling only this error coin and some silver Washinton quarters for now.
Penny is Ungraded but at coin show at McClellan Lions Gate Hotel on 11/8/25 estimated grade could be approximately AU 58
( would need to be sent in for certification ) according to the coin dealers who looked at it through their loupes. Asking $1200 or best offer. Other Washington Quarters 1964 last year D & S mint and a 1937 P mint Quarters available. Let me know if interested. Local collectors only. Call or text only no emails.
