This vintage "Teapot" shaped Tea Leaf Strainer was made in Occupied Japan. The steeper is 1" tall and approx. 1.2" wide. It would be a nice addition for collectors of small teacups.
It should be noted that this is a strainer that was made in Occupied Japan not ones that are selling now that say Made in Japan
The chain is intact, the hinge works and it closes securely. It also has a small circular plate that goes under it.
The strainer is silver in color and shaped like a small teapot.
The outside of the strainer and its base are in very good condition and the silverplate shines up nicely with no pitting.
Both the strainer and the base have the words "Made in Occupied Japan" stamped on the bottom.
This little gem from Japan is a double collectible, great for tea ball collectors and collectors of items stamped with the words "Made in Occupied Japan."
