Candy Dish with Handle (lower middle of photo 1)
- Hammered aluminum
- Marked "Revere Rome NY"
- Measurements are approximate 9" diameter, 1 5/8" from base to lip, 5 1/4" to top of handle
Handled Casserole Bowl with Lid (upper left on round tray in photo 1)
- Wrought aluminum
- Beautiful design around upper edge of casserol - nice detailing in handle on lid / sides of casserole
- Pictured with a modern pyrex clear glass mixing bowl - NOT INCLUDED IN LOT...ONLY USED TO SHOW HOW TO USE CASSEROLE
- Measurements are approximate 8" diameter (not including handles), 3 3/4" to top of bowl, 6 1/4" to top of handle on lid
- Great for casseroles, or could use as soup tureen with round platter/tray under to catch drips and hold ladle.
Etched Round Tray (upper left under Round Casserole in photo 1)
- Wrought aluminum
- Marked "Hand Wrought Aluminum"
- Measurements are approximate 11" diameter 1 7/8" high
- Use for meats and cheese, or put a pretty glass dish in the center for hot artichoke dip and surround with baguettes!
Etched Grape Leaf Large Bowl (upper right on top of pedestal in photo 1)
- Hammered with etched design aluminum
- Marked "WESTBEND MADE IN USA"
- Measurements are approximate 14" diameter 3" high
- Use as a fruit bowl, punch bowl, or just as a beautiful decoration!
Pedestal Candy Dish (upper right - as pedestal under large etched bowl in photo 1)
- Wrought aluminum
- Marked "Wrought Faberware BKLYN NY"
- Measurements are approximate 6 1/2" diameter upper lip, 4 1/4" base diameter, 4 1/2" high
- Use as a candy/nut dish, or put under another piece as a pedestal. Also makes a great candle holder!
Aluminum became very popular in the 40s, and was known as the "poor man's silver". They are pretty durable, and can be brought back to almost new with some elbow grease and a polishing! Or leave them as is and enjoy the beauty of the patina that only age can provide!
