Birthstone Wishing Well was sculpted by David Winter to be available exclusively at in-store painting demonstrations. The painter makes every piece unique. In addition, the collector is invited to place into the tiny Wishing Well a real gemstone appropriate to his or her month of birth...whilst making a very special wish. The stone is then hidden by the well's cover. (Collectors are warned that should this cover ever be removed, the wish will not come true!) The artist also signs the base of the sculpture next to its special "I made my Wish..." label illustrated with the relevant Birthflower. Availability of Birthstone Wishing Well was for a limitied period only and was retired forever on 30th June 1993.
