Vintage elephant table lamp, fancy, highly carved and detailed. Check out the unique and unusual finial!
Magnificent decked-out decorated elephant, kind used in a procession or parade in India in a fancy wedding or by Maharaja. Could also be a fancy circus elephant. Was painted over with a coat of heavy purple paint which could be removed and refinished. Underneath appears to be a highly detailed and carved surface.
Heavy and substantive, weights 11 lbs.
