School Secretary Job Description

-Candidates are team players with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and are able to work with a
variety of people
-Prepare delinquent fee notices and monthly fee statements for fee paying parents.
-Collect parents' fees and issue receipts.
-Update and prepare the weekly sign-in/out sheets.
-Prepare and maintain the monthly enrollment and attendance register.
-Answer telephone, answer inquiries, document messages.
-Keep appointment book for Site Manager and take messages for staff during work time
-Keep office bulletin board current.
-If bilingual clerk: translate and transcribe both oral and written messages and information.
-Check and review a variety of documents for sufficiency and conformance to establish standards and requirements.
-Greet families and students at the Front Desk and provide EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE
-Effectively and efficiently manage problem solve while maintaining professional standards, and ensure that all
interactions between the families, staff, and students run as smoothly as possible.
-Perform any office duties necessary to meet center needs and/or at the request of the Site Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

-Excellent writing, proofreading, technology, and advanced knowledge of and experience with MS Word and
Google Drive, Sheets etc.
-Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, be positive, proactive, have strong administrative skills, and professional.
-Ability to type 50 net words per minute word processor
-Prepare, check and reviews detailed and important office operational records and reports required by Licensing.
-Compile and condense technical and statistical data from various sources which requires an understanding of
-problems and terminology involved and relevant rules and regulations governing such activities.
-excellent communication and critical thinking skills; • the ability to multitask.
-Requires considerable ability to: use good judgment in making routine decisions in accordance with existing laws,
ordinances, regulations and departmental policies and procedures; establish and maintain satisfactory working -relationships with departmental personnel and the public.
