This well preserved and currently stored for winter, 1966 Avion 10 foot camper sits on a perfectly paired clean and tight 1967 Ford F250 Camper Special. A rare combination that will not be sold separately.
The F250 Camper Special is powered by a big 352 V8 and running with a manual 4 speed transmission w/ granny gear. A recent break job, new fuel pump, gear box fluid change, tune-up. Starts quick and runs strong. Other than the slight Bettina finish on the exterior there is 'No Rust'. A clean cab with fuel pressure gauge, custom Cabin Air Conditioner, full bench seat and all original chrome. Tires show little to no checking and have good tread with a full spare and heavy duty jack. Dual fuel tanks and dual 12V battery system.
When you enter the Avion camper you find on the right: full bathroom featuring a marine toilet, sink and shower and a 20 gallon holding tank, lots and lots of storage / conversion space and full family of 4 seating around a dropdown table for extra sleeping accommodations. To the left is gas refrigerator, hydro flame heater 3 burner gas stove, full kitchen counter with sink and pressurized water system. The main bed is in the extended cab over with decent headroom overhead vent and a cushy custom mattress. More storage including a large closet by the door all surrounded by Thermo X Insulation. Owens-Corning Fiberglass fade resistant curtains are also fireproof, shrink proof and add to the timelessness of this beauty. The original camper jacks are included but need refurbishment for operation.
Both were stored for 30 years in an active hanger in Northern California! The camper is clean and solid. Full service manual, parts catalog, all original sales and accessories manuals plus extra period accessories add to the providence of this combo.
