Only 5% of Mustangs in 1965 had the Pony Package that includes wood grain steering wheel, door courtesy lights, embossed ponies in the seat backs, wood grain dash, deluxe door panels with Pistol Grip handles and five dial instrument gauge.
This is one of the most beautiful 65’s you will ever come across.
The body, all the trim and interior are completely original in design including replicas of the original wheels. The exception is the custom design center console. I still have the original factory one. The radio is also a replica of the original, but in fact is a custom high end stereo with hands free phone and Bluetooth. The car is a 100 % Resto Mod with the very best of both worlds. I’m including a parts list here.
The car came from the factory as a C code model which was the base 289 V-8 Windsor engine with 200-hp. The car now has a Blueprint 302 engine with 318-hp and 365 ft-lbs of torque. The engine came with the dyno run sheet. The engine also came with a 30 month or 50,000 warranty which expired on 10/15/2024.
The car began restoration in late 2021, completed in 2023 and painted in January 2024. Color is Ford Deep Impact Blue, J4 paint code.
The car has only 4,300 miles on it. I take it out to show it and for the occasional Sunday drive.
