This 1994 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce CE has 39k miles and is #150 out of 190 Commemorative Edition cars built in May 1993. The Series 4 Spider is powered by a 2.0L twin-cam inline-four paired to a 5-speed gearbox. The car was first purchased in PA and eventually moved to CA. The car has salvaged title. In 2014 the car's interior had water damage and owner decided to cash out from insurance. An Alfa mechanic in Novato bought the car from insurance company and restored it. Approximately $23K was spent to restore the car to its current condition.
The Carfax reports shows no accident but defective title because of interior water damage. The limited edition CE Spiders feature a special badge on the nose and script below the Spider Veloce badge on the tail. The badges are still all in place and the chrome on the light bezels, door handles, and window trim look bright. The lights are functional with no cracks in the lenses, and the glass is free of nicks with rubber seals in good condition.
The original 15″ alloys wheels are phone dial style and still retain the unique gold center caps found only on the CE model.
Inside, the car is fitted with Series 4 features like leather seats with larger knee bolsters, air conditioning, and a driver-side airbag. The CE model also had burl wood trim and a small limited edition number plate on the glove box. All systems in the car work including gauges, power accessories, and A/C system. The 2.0L twin cam inline-four is original and utilizes Bosch Motronic fuel injection. The engine is clean with organized wiring and sits in a tidy engine bay. The car comes with the boot for the soft top and the original CE leather portfolio.
