I am selling a 2012 V6 Mustang that unfortunately has some sort of engine tick / knock. I am unsure if it is rod knock, valve lash, or a stuck lifter so again buy at your own risk. Taking an oil sample and did find a little bit of metal so it most likely will need a new engine. ** SELLING AS IS, WILL NOT BE HELD LIABLE IF ENGINE DOES INDEED HAVE ROD KNOCK SO YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED**. I would want to fix it but I am going away to school in San Diego in two weeks and will live there full time for two years so I need the car gone ASAP. The issue began happening around a couple weeks ago and haven't had time to diagnose. You're welcome to check it out and look at it as you please. Car is currently registered but due to the loud knock/ticking noise will most likely not pass smog as is. Can still run and be driven but again a loud noise is followed by it. Pros of the car are the brakes and rotors were replaced last year and only have been driven around 9K miles on them. Same goes with the tires, as they were replaced around the same time and are mostly new with a tire warranty from lesch shwab tires for 50,000 miles. Looking to break even on what I owe on it, but asking 3K OBO. **ALSO** photos show a Nevada License plate, but it is registered in California and has California plates, images are just older-ish images of the car.
