The original 998 engine and 4 speed are long gone. This is a wicked built 1275 Cooper engine, punched out to 1380.
1975 RHD British Austin Mini from New Zealand

Mini Cooper 1275 engine, built to 1380cc
Track Built Engine from Mini-Mania in Grass Valley (Mini Specialists)
Aluminum head with larger valves…. And much much more.
British built aftermarket 5 speed transmission

Fully welded and gusseted sub frames
Sub-frames powder coated
All new tight suspension for street or track. ($6000)
Hundreds of hours have gone into this car so far. We stopped counting the money invested up to this point. It began in 2020.
New factory looking Dash binnacle that includes a factory Smiths Tac, + modern digital volts readout and USB outlets.
Quite a bit of billet and carbon fiber parts all over the car. Carbon fiber new rear trunk lid.... not yet installed. We also have a new set of 12" custom rims and track tires not shown.
Car is very clean from any rust.
It was brought to California from NZ early in it’s life.
1975…. No SMOG needed car.
Garaged most of it’s life.
Now it just needs the last minor body work to be done, and paint. Then a few tiny things to the interior. 90% of the interior is great.

This car is sooo close to being done, but just don't have the time and desire any longer. So much time and money already invested.
