My mom purchased this 1996 Ford Mustang GT Convertible for her 50th Birthday present to herself. Over a 26 year period she only put 59,000 , it was always garaged and has never been in an accident. 4 years ago she shipped the Mustang from Oklahoma to me here in Sacramento so my son could use it to drive while he attended college at UC Davis. During the past 4 year period my son only drove the Mustang back and forth from Sacramento to Davis and only put an additional 21,000 more miles. This 1996 Mustang is a true low mileage (80,000 mile 1 family owned car)
About the car…
# 1 No accidents/clean car fax
# 2 Pink slip in hand ready for new owner
# 3 Current registration and smog.
# 4 All original, no modifications except I put in Sony 7” screen Stereo system with back up battery and my son installed the black racing stripes. Stripes can easily be removed if new owner isn’t in to racing stripes. I’m 60 years old and I think the stripes look great.
# 5 Everything mechanical works great on the car and the engine is as strong as the day it rolled off the showroom floor.
# 6 New tires were put on 15,000 miles ago and they don’t show any wear.
# 6 Interior is black leather and looks good for a 30 year old car.
# 7 Convertible top is showing its age and I have patched a few tears, it does not leak however the new owner will want to replace the convertible top ( Note : The convertible back glass is in perfect condition so only the cloth part of the top needs to be replaced. ) The price for a new top is $399
# 8 The car does have a small valve covers oil leak I have not yet fixed.
# 9 AC blows hard and cold as it should.
Reason for selling … My son just graduated UC Davis and is now going into the CHP academy in 6 weeks and he no longer needs this Mustang as his transportation.
