ICYMI: The VW turbo diesel is powerful (lotsa torque), gets great mileage (in this case 35-plus mpg), and runs forever. This vehicle's engine received a complete top-end rebuild, timing-belt replacement, etc. from Kombi House 35,000 miles ago. We replaced the windshield and headliner, got fresh window-tint, and have maintained it well. It has some minor cosmetic issues but runs like a top and is fun to drive.
