Tutoring and Cognitive Interventions (Elk Grove)

compensation: $13 to $15 per hour after training and depending on previous experience
employment type: part-time

Working at Keeping Pace Learning Center is an amazing opportunity to learn while working with students with learning difficulties and transforming their lives. We offer extensive training since we are not just a tutoring center. We offer a cognitive approach to permanently solve learning problems. All tutoring/training is 1 to 1. We serve students with a wide variety of learning difficulties such as dyslexia, significant math delays, auditory processing problems, attention difficulties, memory, visual processing and more. Expect to do more than just tutoring. Yet, we do also tutor students in math, reading, and study skills so the ability to tutor high school algebra and geometry is a plus.

If you learn easily, are flexible and adaptable and who has experience tutoring, please see our website at www.keepingpacelearningcenter.com. This is a great position for someone who is pursuing a career and a degree in education, psychology, occupational therapy or speech/language therapy.

We are looking for someone to work 10-20 hours per week. During the school year, most of your hours will be 2:00 -7:00 PM during the week and Saturday mornings. Summer (June, July, August) hours can increase if you are available mornings. More hours would be available if you are flexible about scheduling and willing to work a split shift. We are looking for someone who is able to commit to at least two years since our programs require very specific training. All staff training is at minimum wage. Once you are working with students, the starting wage is $13 -$15 per hour depending on experience. Once you start, we build a schedule to meet your maximum hours of availability.
Email your resume, cover letter, including references. Resumes without references and cover letters will not be accepted. Please include when you would be able to start, the days and times you are available to work and the minimum and maximum hours you need to work.
