Qualifications
*Must have previous experience in grocery produce management - at least one year.
*Knowledge of produce varieties, handling, and merchandising techniques.
*Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
*Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
*Proficiency in inventory management and scheduling.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the produce experience. Oversee every aspect of our vibrant 100% organic produce department—from ordering and receiving to merchandising and inventory control.
Inspire your team. Hire, train, and schedule a motivated crew that’s as passionate about great food and friendly service as you are.
Champion freshness and quality. Keep our produce displays beautiful, abundant, and bursting with the freshest seasonal fruits and veggies.
Get creative with displays. Design eye-catching seasonal promotions and merchandising that showcase the best from local farms and delight our customers.
Keep things running smoothly. Manage inventory efficiently, minimize waste, and keep an eye on costs while maintaining high standards.
Prioritize safety and sustainability. Ensure all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety practices are followed every day.
Deliver amazing customer experiences. Share your produce knowledge, answer questions, and help customers discover something new.
Think strategically. Review sales trends, adjust ordering and displays, and work with store leadership to meet goals and grow the business.
Be a community leader. Collaborate across departments to create a welcoming, thriving store that reflects the spirit of Nevada City.
