A complete free-standing indoor/outdoor string light system designed and used once for a wedding that was scheduled to be outside and then moved into a fairground building to be inside. Most of the materials have gone up in price.
We used umbrella stands that you fill with water to create the weight, so they are easily portable but still sturdy. For the poles, heavy-duty 96-inch steel closet poles that can take the weight and the pull without bending. They can be shimmed also in the umbrella stands. At the top of the poles, we used big eye bolts to circle the lines around. The lights daisy chain, so we only needed one power source and had designed it for a generator.
- 10 96-inch steel poles
- 9 umbrella bases
- 8 100-foot strings of lights
- 8 50-foot strings of light
