PERFECT FOR:
HEALTHY SNACKING - Blend with nuts, seeds, dark chocolate and other dried fruits to make your own nutritious trail mix or granola bars. Add to your favorite oatmeal, or yogurt for a healthy breakfast! Some people even like to just eat them by themselves!
BAKING/DESSERTS - Prunes can add moisture and a natural sweetness to muffins, cakes, cookies, and breads. They can work as a substitute for raisins or dates in most recipes. Pastry Chefs can utlize these in crumbles, pies, tarts, custards, gelatins, compotes/jams, etc.
SAUCES - They can also be used in many different sauces and marinades in both Moroccan and Chinese cuisines, and even for BBQ sauces too. Pairs nicely with Chicken or Pork!
Works well for smoothies, ice creams/gelatos, garnishes, salads, stuffings (Thanksgiving!), charcuterie boards, appetizers, etc.
Try pitting a Prune, stuff it with goat cheese, a little salt and pepper, then wrap with bacon!
